Not all interviews are for a job. Well, they are for a job,but indirectly. Although the idea of making a call to get information seems pretty tame, if you play your cards right, it can lead to bigger results than you may think.

I thought this was very helpful and offers some great ideas. It certainly is an effective way to get more info about different job areas. But even more than that--whata terrific way to network. I think the end was most important--always ask who else the person knows who may be helpful.

As an HR executive with over 30 years of experience I found this information, on both the video and in the article to be very accurate and valuable. Employers do not always want to pay for an ad to locate qualified applicants..referrals from friends and associates tend to be a more valuable means of sourcing applicants! Excellent!
