I have a mid level clerical job at a bank, which is stable but offers not too much in the way of advancement. I have a B.A. in history and I was thinking of returning to school to get an MBA. Is it reasonable to ask the bank whether they would pay for me to pursue such a degree or would I be rocking the boat too much by asking/

I'm begining my post-MBA career at a firm in a few weeks. We had always discussed my relocation to a branch office after a year at headquarters. Now I'm anxious about moving away from friends and family and scared to speak up about about this as I do not want to be fired. Your advice for renegotiating something I agreed to with management almost a year ago?

I've been working at my firm for a little over a year now. I am currently an administrative assistant, but have interest in moving into a business line seat within the next year. My reviews have been very good, so I know they value my work and skill set. How do I go about managing an internal move? How do I broach the topic with my boss without appearing as if I'm totally unsatisfied in my current role?

My mid-year performance review did not go so well - actually, it was quite poor. This is not the first time I've received a low rating over my three years at the firm. My manager said there are consistent themes that keep reoccuring. I feel I have been working very hard and do everything they ask of me, yet I'm unable to "crack the code" so to speak. Should I start looking for a new career or push harder for more supervision/support in my current role?

I have a job that I don't hate. I don't love it either. I've spent so many years doing things that I don't hate, if somebody asked me what I love to do, I don't think I could tell them. I'm tired of this and want to wake up in the morning excited to go to work. How do I start?
